Two popular festivals in Breda, the INTRO Festival and Breda Barst, will work together. The INTRO Festival is the biggest student party in Breda. This year, it will move from Chasséveld to Stadspark Valkenberg. Breda Barst has already been there for many years.
By working together, the festivals can save time, money, and help the environment.
The festivals are still separate events, but they will share things behind the scenes. The INTRO Festival is on Thursday, 4 September 2025. Breda Barst is on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September. Because they now use the same location, they only need to set up things like stages, tents, and fences once.
What does this mean for you?
The INTRO Festival is the start of the school year. Avans organizes this event together with BUas, Curio, and De Rooi Pannen. On 4 September, you can enjoy music, fun activities, and info stands. It’s a great way to meet other students, learn about Breda, and start student life.
Because of the teamwork with Breda Barst, the INTRO Festival gets more support. This makes it more likely the festival will continue in the future.

After the INTRO Festival comes Breda Barst: a free pop festival for everyone. On 5 and 6 September, you can enjoy live music on 3 stages, street theatre, a kids program, and lots of food and drinks.
